Readers, I can only repeat what I’ve written twice already … I do NOT feel any schadenfreude when a “brother” has this happen. I’m not saying I never feel that emotion … when it’s enemy, then of course I do … good and hard … but not a bro, ok?
However … and you knew this was coming, plus you could write this post section yoursef … however … the sad fact is that way too many, esp. those living that charmed life within the M25 bubble … wwweeellllll … you understand.
Empathy is only truly possible if you’ve been through it. Am I being malevolent? That’s for you to conclude. My case is that now he might get off his backside and really push hard, tear strips, make himself obnoxious. Good. I’m afraid I say good. Humanity is helped by this.
And coming back to that middle of the night Exodus sermon, the point the pastor made was look what happened to Joseph. Now chaps and chapesses, I don’t give a monkey’s if it was allegorical in the main with some basis, or whatever … that book was about theological principles moreso than history and the theological principle here is that you suffering at the hands of the baddies does often later turn into a plus for you, if only for becoming more experienced. And for the jews or Israelites or whatever the nomenclature was, the lesson was trust their Lord or suffer the inevitable consequences.
Trouble is, we suffer their consequences too, further down the track. Like now, with the Ashkenazi secular jewry. But that’s another tale.
By the way, I have some Paypal tales too, but the post would become unwieldy.
